Higher than normal blood glucose seen in pregnancy who are not previously being diagnosed as diabetics
Pregnant women: not able to maintain glucose level when challenged with exogenous glucose developed GTT @24 and 28 weeks of pregnancy .

- Women with family testing of DM
- Age : Women who conceive later in life none than 25 years of age
- Obese women lso (PCOS) who concive
- Indian women have been seen to be more prone to develop GD.
